Mouna Belkhayat is an experienced project manager with over 12 years of experience in project management and consulting across healthcare, tourism, and public service sectors. Since 2018, she has been leading policy and communications initiatives at global, regional, and local levels for healthcare companies such as Sanofi Pasteur, Novartis, Gilead Sciences, St Jude and Ascendis Pharma. Her expertise spans key areas including vaccines, infectious diseases, global health, access to healthcare, and corporate social responsibility.

Mouna specialises in implementing global communication strategies, coordinating media relations and implementation partners, organising high-profile stakeholder events, and managing policy research studies. She played a pivotal role in developing and launching a health equity and inclusion report in collaboration with the Observer Research Foundation, a leading global think tank based in India. She also contributed to organising an innovative World Polio Day 2018 event, a hybrid conference that brought together key polio stakeholders worldwide, generating a highly successful media and social media campaign. Additionally, she coordinated an opinion research study on malaria elimination goals for 2030, supporting stakeholder and media launches across Asia and Africa, resulting in strong local, regional, and international media coverage.

Before that, Mouna spent five years as a consultant at Wavestone, a leading management and IT consulting firm in Paris. She advised organisations on developing communications infrastructure aligned with corporate strategy and business objectives. As a project manager, she oversaw projects from conception to completion, ensuring successful delivery.

Mouna holds an MA in International Journalism from Cardiff University (UK) and an MSc in Engineering from IMT Atlantique (formerly Telecom Bretagne, France). Originally from Morocco, she has lived in France, Spain, and the UK, and spent eight months traveling across Latin America, where she started a travel blog and volunteered with an organisation supporting underprivileged children in Peru. She also co-founded Morocco’s first collective of travel bloggers.

Mouna is fluent in English, French, Arabic, and speaks conversational Spanish.
